    I'm Jason Heistad, welcome to my personal website. I am currently a sitting Councillor for the Town of Innisfail, active community volunteer and a former Vice-President of the Alberta Union of Public Employees.

    I've called Innisfail home for over 39 years. This is where I went to school, built a life with my wife and raised our three children.

    As a local business owner and a councillor for the past 15 years, I have worked hard to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

    From volunteering with local organizations to serving on Council, my focus has always been on strengthening Innisfail as a safe, welcoming place for families, businesses, and seniors.

    This is where my roots are, and I'm proud to serve the people of Innisfail for the 2025-2029 term with dedication and pride.

    For over 15 years as a town councillor in our wonderful community, I have strived to balance your quality of life with the fiscal responsibility entrusted to municipal government.

    Because of your support in the 2025 Municipal Election, I will continue my work and commitment to making thoughtful, transparent decisions that reflect the priorities of residents, respect the scope of local government, and ensure responsible stewardship of public resources today and for the future.

    By building on our strengths - our people, our history, and our community spirit, we can create opportunities that help local businesses grow, support safe and welcoming spaces for families, and ensure seniors have the care and connection they deserve.

    My vision is that with strong leadership and collaboration, Innisfail will continue to be not just a place to live - but the place to belong, succeed, and grow.
